Wisdom Tech To Showcase Cutting-Edge Research at The 66th AAPM Annual Meeting in Los Angeles July 21-25, 2024

The research team from Wisdom Tech and University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) will present a series of innovative research projects at the 66th Annual Meeting of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) in Los Angeles, July 21-25, 2024. The AAPM Annual Meeting is a premier event in the field of medical physics, bringing together leading experts from around the world to discuss the latest advancements.

The team submitted a total of 14 abstracts to the AAPM Annual Meeting, covering various aspects of medical physics, including dose calculation, treatment planning and verification, adaptive radiotherapy, quality assurance, radioisotope brachytherapy, and CT imaging dosimetry. Despite the AAPM's consistently low acceptance rate, all of the team's submissions were accepted this year, comprising 5 oral presentations and 9 posters. Notably, the research paper titled "Preliminary demonstration of real-time Monte Carlo multi-particle dose engine through AI-based denoising and GPU dose simulation for radiotherapy planning and verification" was selected as a finalist for the "James R. Cameron Early-Career Investigator Symposium (ECIS)" and will compete with other outstanding papers during the conference. These achievements demonstrate the international recognition of the team's research excellence in the field of medical physics.
